How to Farm Honey in BSS Reworked

Honey is the only currency that matters until rebirths and Metthiology Points start multiplying it. Every other resource in BSS Reworked is a way to make the next bag heavier. This guide is about making bags heavier on purpose. It assumes you already claimed a hive in getting started and understand the loop in how to play.

Match the field to the hive

Pollen in this genre is red, blue, or white (colorless). Bees have a color. Fields have a color. Standing on the wrong color is a self-imposed tax.

• Red fields (mushroom, strawberry, rose, pepper) love red hives and Precise / Spicy stacks.
• Blue fields (blue flower, bamboo, pine tree, stump) love blue hives and Tadpole / Buoyant setups.
• White fields (sunflower, dandelion, spider, coconut, mountain top) love white hives and Vector / Fuzzy play.

Mixed early hives should live on mixed-friendly patches such as clover, pineapple, or pumpkin until you commit. The hive color tier list is the short version of this rule.

Boosts are a clock, not a collection

Codes, dice, glitter, extracts, and winds exist to make a window. A window is: sprinkler down, bag empty, tool ready, field chosen. Popping a RELEASE field boost while you stand at the shop is how you donate the boost to the server.

Order inside a window:

1. Convert so the bag starts empty.
2. Walk to the field.
3. Place sprinklers.
4. Pop dice / winds / extracts.
5. Gather until full.
6. Convert immediately.
7. Repeat until the buff dies.

If you use scripts, confirm the script’s field lock matches this window. A bot that hops fields mid-boost is worse than manual play.

Blooms, sprouts, and loot luck

The official icon screenshot shows 00_Opleoni planting Supreme Sprouts in a live hive. Read the Supreme Sprouts guide before you dump beans on a field you cannot survive. Sprouts and blooms are bonus pollen events, not your main job. When one spawns on a field you can survive, pivot. When it spawns in a high field that deletes you, ignore it. Loot luck from Baby Bee and event bees helps, but a dead player collects zero tokens.

Blooms like glue, foam, and scorch marks (depending on what this clone enabled) are why people watch the video in the middle of this page. The original Bee Swarm bloom rules are a decent mental model: stay inside the shape, face the tokens, do not kite yourself out of the flower zone.

Convert discipline

Capacity without convert is a museum. Build convert with honey bees, gifted bonuses, music, and later amulets. If a convert takes longer than the walk back to the field, your hive is the bottleneck, not the bag. Hive building covers support bees. Do not buy another tank until converts are snappy.

Instant convert from balloons, micro-converters, and some event bees is for boost windows. Using a micro-converter on a 10% bag is a waste. Using it when a Vicious Bee is sitting on your convert pad is correct.

Mobs are a honey tax

Beetles, spiders, werewolves, scorpions, and bosses interrupt gather. Either your hive has attack (Brave, Rage, Vicious, Precise) or you pick a safer field. Dying mid-boost is the most expensive mistake in the game. If you came from original BSS and muscle-memory walk into Spider Field with five commons, you will get the same result.

Monster respawn gamepasses exist (-50% Monster Respawn Time). That pass is for farmers who want more mobs (stingers, loot). It is a downside if you cannot kill them. Do not buy it to “progress faster” on day two.

Spending the honey you just made

After a good session, spend in this order:

1. Tool if you are behind the tools tier list.
2. Bag if you overflowed during the boost.
3. Hive slot if a good bee is waiting.
4. Rebirth if the button is the best remaining multiplier.
5. Jellies only after the above, and only toward the bee tier list.

Honey sitting in the counter does nothing. Honey spent on a random mythic egg while your scooper is still basic also does nothing. The how to play bottleneck list and this spend order should agree.
